Town tipped for top-six finish

Ipswich Town, 17:27, April 15, 2010 ,

Ipswich midfielder Jack Colback, on loan from Sunderland, believes Town will be serious contenders for promotion next season.

Colback moved to Portman Road on a season-long loan deal last summer and is expected to make the switch back to Sunderland in the summer to compete for a first team spot at the Stadium of Light next season.
However, the 20-year-old thinks Ipswich have the ability to fight for promotion next season and has predicted a top-six finish for Roy Keane's men in the 2010/11 campaign.
He said: It's just been disappointing that we are not higher up the table. We have got ourselves into a position when we have threatened to really push on but we have not taken those opportunities. It's been one step forward, two steps back sometimes.
"Having been here since August though, I have seen the way the team has improved and the signs are there for Ipswich to push on now.
"I fully expect the club to be up near the top of the Championship next season and in serious contention for the top six."
