Balotelli given Abete support

FIGC president Giancarlo Abete says he is certain Mario Balotelli will bounce back from his disappointing display against Spain.

The forward looked sluggish throughout the match before being replaced on the hour mark but Abete is confident the 21-year-old will eventually come good in the tournament.
"Balotelli made his contribution, but he must try to understand the reality of playing in a major international competition in which there is no forgiveness," Abete said. "He nevertheless put the Spanish defence under pressure and will not allow himself to be disheartened."
