Kilmarnock assistant boss Billy Brown says it is a "major boost" to have midfielder Allan Johnston back in training.
Johnston has not played so far this season because of a hamstring injury but he's finally back in training and should be in contention for the first-team within a fortnight.
Brown is delighted with his comeback and admits the experienced star is a big influence in the squad.
He said: "It has been a long haul for him. His hamstring injury has taken a bit of time to sort out.
"Allan has been missed hugely at training and in the team because he is such a good professional. He likes a moan but he keeps everyone on their toes as he sets such standards.
"He expects that from all the boys around him. So it's been great to have him back, although we'll take it gradually with him.
"He's fit and still has all his enthusiasm and one thing he'll never lose is his skill - that's an asset to any team."
