Killie close to appointment
Kilmarnock, 13:45, January 14, 2010 ,
Former Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood has been offered the vacant managerial post at Kilmarnock.
Calderwood, who left Aberdeen last summer, held talks with Killie chairman Michael Johnston on Monday and could be in charge for Saturday's home game against Motherwell.
Calderwood says the talks were very positive and has informed the club he will make a quick decision.
He told the Scottish Daily Express: "Kilmarnock want a quick decision and I have promised to give them an answer. If I am going to take the job, I will be taking training on Friday and the match with Motherwell on Saturday."
