Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has dismissed rumours he could join Real Madrid in the summer, insisting he is happy in England.

The Argentina striker moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer from Atletico Madrid and has already hit 29 goals in all competitions so far this season. His exertions in the Premier League led to reports suggesting he was a target for Jose Mourinho's Real in the close-season. Aguero's father-in-law and Argentina legend Diego Maradona then added fuel to the fire by saying Madrid was the 'ideal club' for the 23-year-old. However, Aguero has distanced himself from Maradona's comments, saying: "I'm not going to tell him [Maradona] 'Hey, don't say that'. He says what he wants and he has always been like that. "But I have never said that I want to play for Real Madrid, and I don't want to play for them today. I'm happy at Manchester City."
