Ajax planning double Barca swoop

Ajax are interested in signing Barcelona's Christian Tello and Sergi Roberto, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Dutch champions want to speak to the Catalan giants about the possibility of bringing the young striker and midfielder to the Amsterdam Arena. Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars was present at Barca's recent 2-0 friendly victory over Romanian outfit Dinamo Bucharest. A deal for Tello is firmly on the cards, who is also being closely followed by Liverpool, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Valencia. The 21-year-old netted seven times in 22 appearances for Barcelona last term, but has been left out of Tito Vilanova's first-team squad for the coming season, as the Spanish club want him to gain experience elsewhere. However, it is rumoured that the Catalan club are not keen on allowing Roberto the chance to leave and will fight to keep him in Spain.
