Bale agent's warning to Barca
The agent of Gareth Bale has warned Barcelona it would take more than £36million to secure his signature from Tottenham.
The Wales international has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants throughout the course of this past season and he even admitted that he would relish the chance to play for them at some point. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is determined to keep Bale at White Hart Lane and will have Champions League football on offer if Bayern Munich defeat Chelsea in Saturday's final. However, if Chelsea lift the trophy and their fellow Londoners miss out then they could be tempted to offload their star man to Barca. But Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett said he is happy at Spurs, where he is under contract until summer 2015, and it would take a lot more to sign him than the £36million reported in El Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona-based daily sports newspaper. He told the Telegraph: "It'd be a lot more than that. Gareth's very happy at Tottenham, come what may."
