Barca skipper has years left in him

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola says 34-year-old Carles Puyol can carry on playing for many years to come.

Guardiola insists Puyol will put this season's injury problems behind him and regain fitness levels which will see him feature for the club in future campaigns.
He said: "He says that he wants to keep on playing until he's 40. It all depends on him. With his mentality and commitment, he can keep on going until his body says stop."
The Barca captain is tied down at Camp Nou until 2013 and the Catalan giants are keen to open contract talks with the Spanish defender who has made over 500 appearances for the club.
