Barcelona complete Alba deal

Barcelona have completed the signing of Valencia full-back Jordi Alba on a five-year contract, subject to a medical.

The Catalan giants have been heavily linked with the left-back and a switch was widely expected this summer. Now, Valencia have revealed terms have been agreed between the two clubs for his transfer. Alba, who had one year left on his deal at the Mestalla, will finalise his move to Camp Nou following his participation at Euro 2012. It is thought Barcelona will pay €14million for Alba upon completion of his medical. The 23-year-old has impressed for Spain at the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine and is now set to line up alongside the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta at club level next term.
