Buonanotte pleased with Granada move
New Granada signing Diego Buonanotte says his decision to leave Malaga was based purely on his desire to play more regular football.
The Argentine moved to the Roasleda in the summer of 2011 and, after starring for River Plate, was widely expected to become a huge part of Manuel Pellegrini's plans. However, with so much competition for places, first-team opportunities proved hard to come by and after making just 19 appearances, he opted to join Granada on the final day of the January transfer window. The move came as a shock to many but the 24-year-old says he felt he had to move due to his lack of game time. "I left because I needed to find continuity, I need to play and be taken into account more by the coach," Buonanotte told Goal.com.
