Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas says his side have taken 'a giant stride' in winning the title after beating Barcelona on Saturday.
The win over their arch-rivals at the Camp Nou puts them seven points clear of the reigning champions and, with just four league games to go, Casillas believes his side are close to ending the Catalan's three year grip on the La Liga title He said: "Although there are still points at stake and we must be respectful, we have taken a giant step." Real's win was their first at Barcelona since 2007 and was also the European champions first home defeat in 55 games, and Barca's coach Pep Guardiola conceded defeat in the race for the title, saying:"I want to congratulate Madrid for the win and for the league they are going to win."
