Del Bosque favours Messi over Ronaldo
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque insists he prefers Lionel Messi to Cristiano Ronaldo due to the Barcelona man's style of play.
The pair are widely thought of as the best two players on the planet at present, with Messi just a fraction ahead of the Real Madrid star.
Both scored heavily last season in all competitions as Real took the title from the Catalans after a sensational campaign.
Ronaldo helped Portugal reach the semi-finals of Euro 2012 while Messi was back in South America resting ahead of the new season and both are now back with their clubs for pre-season training.
Asked which of the players he would prefer to have in his side, the tactician said: "Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? I prefer Messi, because he's more of a street player."
