Jonathan Dos Santos has reportedly turned down a move to Sevilla as he wants to fight for his future at Barcelona.
The 22-year-old is reportedly one of three players that new head coach Tito Vilanova would like to see gain some first-team experience away from the Nou Camp, alongside Isaac Cuenca and Ibrahim Afellay. Newspaper Estadio Deportivo also said that Sevilla had agreed a deal to take the player on loan, but Dos Santos has turned it down as he feels it may be detrimental to his career, having seen his brother Giovani's form dip when he left the Blaugrana. "Jonathan's brother left Barcelona for another team and he saw how that went," Dos Santos's lawyer Vicente Montes told ESPN. "He is confident he will get to play for Barcelona. He has two years of his contract left and he wants to stay at the best team in the world. "He is confident he can compete at Barcelona. He has reached that decision himself. He has confidence in his own ability."
