Eliseu wants Benfica move

Malaga full-back Eliseu Pereira dos Santos has confirmed he favours a summer switch to Benfica.

The La Liga outfit are struggling financially and have already seen Salomon Rondon and Apono leave the club, with more high-profile exits expected. Portuguese defender Eliseu has been linked with a return to Primeira Liga, where he represented Belenenses between 2002-2007, and has revealed his desire to join Benfica. "Of course I would like to go, I would enjoy playing for Benfica," he said. "But it won't be easy, because Malaga are not willing to release me without a fight." Eliseu has scored 16 goals in 133 league appearances for Malaga.
