Valencia coach Unai Emery has told his players he will be leaving the club in the summer after four years in charge.
Reports claim Emery told his squad the news following the 4-2 defeat at Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final last Thursday. Valencia sit third in the La Liga table and look well set for a Champions League place with four games remaining. Despite a respectable domestic campaign and a strong showing in the Europa League, pressure has grown on the Valencia boss and he has decided to call time on his spell at the club. "I hope that we can go on and win a trophy and that we will qualify for the Champions League," Emery told the Valencia staff, according to AS. "I will not be here next season, however."
