Galatasaray complete Altintop deal
Turkish giants Galatasaray have confirmed the signing of midfielder Hamit Altintop from Real Madrid on a four-year deal.
The Turkey international returns to his homeland after struggling to make an impact at the Bernabeu. Altintop made just nine appearances for the La Liga champions after joining from Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer. The player announced he was set to move to Galatasaray at the end of May and the club confirmed the deal on Friday. "We have reached an agreement for four seasons with Real Madrid player Hamit Altintop, starting from 2012-2013 season," a statement on the club's official website read. Galatasaray will reportedly pay the Spanish giants €3.5million for Altintop, who has never played for a Turkish club.
