Andres Guardado has revealed that he'll leave Deportivo La Coruna in the summer transfer window after agreeing to join Valencia.

The Mexican international has regularly been linked with a move to the Mestalla and his arrival could signal the departure of Jordi Alba in the coming months. Guardado signed for Deportivo in 2007 and played a key role as Jose Luis Oltra's men regained their top flight status this season, after being relegated in 2011. However, despite the promotion, the winger believes its now the correct time for him to move on and is looking forward to the opportunity of playing for Valencia. "I am now joining Valencia," he said. "I am very grateful to Deportivo for giving me the opportunity. I have had five wonderful years here and want to thank the club and the fans for all their support."
