Guardiola D-day on Friday
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is expected to outline his future plans when his players arrive for training on Friday morning.
The 41-year-old operates on short, one-year deals at the Nou Camp, preferring to keep his options open and renew his contract in the summer. There has been speculation all season that this will be his final season with the Catalans, despite the fact that many of his players have implored the former Spain international to stay. Reports in Barcelona claim Guardiola has already held a meeting with club president Sandro Rosell, at which he outlined his future plans and will inform his charges of his intentions on Friday. Barca look like missing out on the La Liga title after defeat to Real Madrid last weekend while they crashed out of the Champions League to Chelsea on Tuesday but it is thought that Guardiola made up his mind some time ago and has not been swayed by recent events.
