Khedira plays down Ronaldo situation

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira does not believe Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for a way out of the club.

Ronaldo revealed earlier this month that he was unhappy, but the reasoning behind his statement remains unclear. It has been suggested that the world's most expensive player is keen to leave Los Blancos due to a disagreement over wages, although this has been denied by Ronaldo himself. Khedira does not feel Ronaldo's outburst after he scored twice in Real's 3-0 win over Granada was aimed at his situation at the club. "He never hinted at something like that. Maybe Ronaldo just wanted the public to have a view into his personal life," Khedira told Kicker. "And when he says something, it has a much bigger effect as he is among the best players in the world."
