Llorente set for Bilbao exit

Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente looks set to leave after the club confirmed he does not want to renew his contract.

The 27-year-old has entered the final year of his contract and Bilbao were keen to tie the Spain international down to a new deal. However, Llorente has his sights set on the exit door, with Juventus leading the race for his signature. "Llorente has told us that he does not want to renew his contract with the club," said Athletic president Josu Urrutia. "In case Llorente leaves the club, we will not sign another attacker. I can tell all clubs that want to sign one of our players that we are not a selling club. They will have to pay a player's buy-out clause."
