Madrid holding talks with Maicon
Reports in Italy say Real Madrid are today holding talks with Douglas Maicon's agent over a potential move.
The Inter Milan full-back has been linked with a return to work under Jose Mourinho, who coached him at the San Siro, since the Portuguese tactician moved to Real Madrid although a move has never developed. But Sky Sport Italia believes Maicon's agent, Roberto Calenda, has held talks at the Bernabeu this morning after also meeting with Manchester City officials earlier this week. Calenda yesterday told calciomercato.com: "There is interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the player. "There is no possibility that he goes to AC Milan or Juventus. He has worn the Nerazzurri shirt for six seasons and has too much respect for the fans to betray them in that manner. He could also yet remain at Inter." Chelsea ended their interest in Maicon, 31, after signing Cesar Azpilicueta from Marseille on Friday.
