Marcelo lauds Real's season

Brazilian defender Marcelo has described featuring in Real Madrid's record-breaking season as "like paradise for a player".

The Spanish giants broke a number of records on their way to reclaiming the La Liga title last term. They scored more goals and amassed more points than any other side in history.
Marcelo reflected on a highly successful season, despite Real's failure to land Europe's top prize.
"We had an historic and extraordinary season because, besides winning the title, we also broke many records, such as those in points, victories and goals," Marcelo told topmercato.com.
"The entire team made such progress that playing with them was like paradise for a player. Our confidence was so high that we knew it would be hard for others to stop us if we did our best."
