Mascherano hails Barca style

Barcelona's Javier Mascherano believes the manner of his side's win against Real Madrid on Thursday was more important than the result.

Goals from Xavi, Pedro and Lionel Messi gave the Blaugrana a 3-2 win over their bitter rivals in the first-leg of the Super Cup, handing them the advantage ahead of next week's second leg at the Bernabeu.
Tito Vilanova's men characteristically dominated the match at the Nou Camp and the versatile Argentine believes the way they controlled the tie was more important than the result, as it proves they are the better side.
"Beyond the result, we were the ones that controlled the game and that's important. We have to maintain our identity and be ourselves," Mascherano said. "Seeing what we did on the pitch it is a bit of a shame that we only won 3-2, but we're happy with the final result."
