Pepe set for United return
Real Madrid central defender Pepe is on course to make his comeback from an ankle injury against Manchester United next week.
The Portugal international hasn't played since Real's 3-2 defeat to Malaga towards the end of December but played a full part in a practice match on Wednesday as he steps up his recovery.
The 29-year-old only returned to training at the start of February as Los Blancos look to rush him back in time for the Champions League encounter with United.
The Premier League leaders visit the Bernabeu on Wednesday 13 and Jose Mourinho wants to be able to call on Pepe, especially with Raphael Varane struggling after picking up hamstring injury.
The French defender is a doubt for Saturday's clash with Sevilla due to the problem picked up on international duty, meaning Raul Albiol is likely to start alongside Sergio Ramos in the heart of Real's defence.
