Rakitic ready to help Sevilla
Ivan Rakitic says he isn't planning to leave Sevilla this month and is determined to help the club turn around its current slump.
Los Palanganas are not only struggling on the pitch but off it as well, with the club president having reportedly flown to London to try to sell striker Alvaro Negredo for €20million.
Argentine defender Federico Fazio is another player who could find himself sold off this month to ease Sevilla's financial troubles, with Hannover lining up a €6million deal.
Rakitic's future has also been thrown into some doubt after Lokomotiv Moscow took an interest in the Croatian playmaker, offering €10million for the 24-year-old.
Rakitic, though, looks prepared to shun a lucrative move to Moscow in order to stay in Spain as he calls for the Sevilla supporters to get behind their struggling team.
"I am very happy in Sevilla," he told reporters. "I want to help my team-mates. We are going to come out of this, and with me here.
"After beating Osasuna [last weekend], it is important to do that again at Mestalla. I believe fully in this team. We will give everything on the pitch to turn things around."
