Sources in Spain are suggesting that Liverpool have now joined the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin.
Sahin looks set to leave the Bernabeu this summer after coach Jose Mourinho revealed that he would not see much first-team action and, as a young player, "he wants to play every match." The Turkey international has been linked with both north London clubs, with Arsenal keen to continue their summer spending after three big-name captures already. But Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is now said to have shown an interest in the talented schemer and, according to reports in the Spanish press, his close relationship with Mourinho might tip the balance in the Merseyside club's favour. Rodgers was part of the Portuguese coach's back-room staff during his time at Chelsea and the pair reportedly get on very well.
