Valdes downplays El Clasico importance

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes does not expect next week's El Clasico against Real Madrid to be a title decider.
The Catalan giants remain four points behind their bitter rivals after both sides picked up valuable victories on Saturday. Barcelona defeated Levante 2-1, while Real beat Sporting Gijon 3-1. The two heavyweights meet at Camp Nou on April 21, with many expecting the winner to go on and lift the La Liga crown. A Real Madrid win would see them open up a seven-point lead over Barca with only four games remaining. "The Clasico will be very important, but not decisive. Even if we win, we will still not depend on ourselves to win the league," said the Spanish stopper. "The week we have ahead is one of those which gives this job a meaning."
