Valencia insistent on Alba
Valencia have denied reports that they have agreed a deal with Barcelona for Spain international Jordi Alba.
The full-back, who has a year left on his Valencia contract, has been heavily linked with a move back to the Nou Camp this summer - the club he was at as a youngster. Alba has also been linked with top European clubs AC Milan, Manchester United and Champions League winners Chelsea but it is Barca where he is being tipped to return. However, Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez says no deal is in place although he admits the defender's representatives are discussing possible deals with other clubs. "I can be clear that the player has not been sold to Barcelona," Vazquez told reporters. "We have not received a formal offer for him. Jordi Alba still has a deal with us until June 2013. "It is normal that Jordi's agents are analysing possible offers but we have not negotiated with anybody. This is the truth."
