Vilanova hails Song impact
Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova has praised new signing Alex Song after his impressive home debut against Valencia.
The Cameroonian moved to Camp Nou from Arsenal last month and looked good when he came on for Sergio Busquets during Wednesday's Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid. Song was handed his first start for the club during Sunday's 1-0 win over Valencia and Vilanova has praised his contribution to the side. "Song did a great job. He's only had a few days of training with us. He picks things up quickly. He's an intelligent player," Vilanova said. "He's talented on the ball, and he associates well with his team-mates on the pitch. He passed his first test at Camp Nou with flying colours."
