Former Reims man Romain Amalfitano admits it will be a culture change moving to Newcastle but is excited to get going in England.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal and will officially join Alan Pardew's side when his deal at Reims expires on June 30. He leaves the French outfit after helping them clinch promotion to Ligue 1. "I am very happy to be a Newcastle player. I have seen a bit of the city already, and it is a change from France, but one I am really looking forward to," said Amalfitano "When a club like Newcastle wants you to play for them, it can only be a good thing. I have taken the opportunity to play in the Premier League, and cannot wait to get going." Amalfitano joins French compatriots Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye on Tyneside.
