Ancelotti plays down Cole link

Paris Saint Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has denied any interest in Joe Cole and insists they have finished their summer spending.

Recent reports claimed that the Liverpool midfielder, who spent last season on loan with French club Lille, was set for another spell in Ligue 1 with the cash-rich capital outfit.
But the former Chelsea chief has laughed off the speculation and made it clear that the club's cheque book is now closed for the summer.
"The transfer window is over for us," he said. "The club did a good job. All the news from England are just rumours."
Cole enjoyed a sold season in France with four goals from 31 top-flight appearances, but it is not known whether new Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has included the England international in his future plans.
