Carlo Ancelotti admitted that Paris Saint-Germain were lucky to defeat Valenciennes 4-3 in Sunday evening's seven-goal thriller.
The PSG coach witnessed his side go 2-0 down after just 11 minutes at the Stade du Hainaut, before hitting back thanks to goals from Nene, Maxwell, Blaise Matuidi and Jeremy Menez. However, while he was pleased that his side's Ligue 1 title hopes remain intact, Ancelotti was not overjoyed with the display. "It was a weird game," said Ancelotti told reporters after the match. "We made a terrible start but we got back to 2-1. "I do not understand why we started the beginning of the game with so much pressure. We were not in a good stead. The result did not reflect the game."
