Auxerre win relegation clash

Auxerre move out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone following their 2-0 win over rivals Dijon on Thursday evening.

Caretaker manager Jean-Guy Wallemme led the club to their second successive win to take the club off the foot of the table and out of the bottom three. Roy Contout and Delvin N'Dinga scored the decisive goals at Stade Gaston Gerard to record AJA's first away win of the season, and at a crucial time. The win moves the club into 17th place, just above Stade Brestois on goal difference with three league games remaining while Dijon remain second-bottom. Auxerre continue their battle against the drop when they host Bordeaux on Monday.
