Bastos eyes Brazil call-up

Lyon star Michel Bastos admits he is eager to force his way back into the Brazil national side after an injury-plagued season.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since April 18 as he continues to struggle with a niggling back problem.
He is set to undergo some tests on Thursday to try to get to the bottom of the injury, which will determine whether he will play again this season.
The defender played at the 2010 World Cup for the South American giants and he is eager for more international action and believes a complete season at Lyon might well do the trick.
"I started this season really well. But then I got injured," he said. "I'm someone who needs to be playing a lot of games and it's not good for me to be out of action.
"Each time I've had trouble coming back from being injured. You never know what might happen at the end of the season but I'd like to do a complete season at Lyon."
