Deschamps expects Marseille stay
Didier Deschamps says he expects to stay at Marseille despite the speculation linking him with the vacant manager's job at Liverpool.
The Reds are on the lookout for a new boss following the dismissal of Kenny Dalglish and Deschamps is said to be on their shortlist as the club's owners want to appoint a younger, more dynamic coach to the position. However, the former France captain has ruled himself out of contention and says he fully expects to be still in charge at the Stade Velodrome at the start of next season. "It is expected that I will be there (Marseille) next season," Deschamps said. "When it goes badly, there is need to recharge, I will leave on vacation but it is expected that I be there for July 2."
