Marseille's under-pressure coach Didier Deschamps felt luck was not on their side in Friday night's 2-1 defeat away to Lorient.
L'OM's extraordinary Ligue 1 slump continued as Lorient won 2-1 victory at the Stade du Moustoir. Arnold Mvuemba set the hosts on their way with a penalty shortly before half-time and Kevin Monnet-Pacquet made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Mathieu Valbuena pulled one back for the Coupe de la Ligue winners in the 76th minute but they remain without a victory in the league since January. Deschamps felt his charges should have won the game and believes the referee made two glaring errors. "We were really unlucky," he said. "There is nothing worse than coming away from a game with a feeling of injustice but tonight we felt we should have had two penalties. "It is not an excuse but these things keep happening to us."
