Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed he wants to stay with the Ligue 1 club, but admits it is not his decision.

Deschamps was forced to field more questions about his future following the goalless draw at St Etienne last time out. Marseille sit 10th in the table and have endured a difficult campaign domestically, although they did manage to reach the Champions League quarter-finals. Deschamps insists he is keen to remain with Marseille for the remainder of his deal, but admits the final decision rests with the club's hierarchy. "I do not have to answer this question,'' Deschamps told reporters. "I am employed here. It will be left in the hands of the president (Vincent Labrune) and (owner) Margarita Louis-Dreyfus. "They will decide my fate, I do not know anymore than that. If she (Margarita) wants to see me, then she can. She is my boss after all.'' He added: "It's not me who makes the schedule. You (the press) know my situation; I have two years left on my contract, so it is expected that I'll be here next season.''
