Lille boss Rudi Garcia insists his side will cope without forward Eden Hazard, saying he is used to losing his big-name stars.
Hazard left the Ligue 1 outfit to join Chelsea in a deal worth €40million earlier this summer, the Belgian joining a whole host of key men to have left Lille in recent years. Life without Hazard began in promising fashion this weekend, Lille starting their Ligue 1 campaign with a last-gasp 2-1 victory at St Etienne. "I've already moved on. I had to replace Michel Bastos, over two or three years, Cabaye, Sow and Gervinho in other years," Garcia told French radio station RMC. "We keep the same philosophy of football, to try to attack, and we should do well in Ligue 1. I also especially hope we will be ready for the qualifier for the Champions League." Lille will face Danish outfit FC Copenhagen in the Champions League play-off round on August 21.
