Garcia unsurprised by Debuchy impact

Lille manager Rudi Garcia says he is not surprised by right-back Mathieu Debuchy's impressive performances at Euro 2012.

The 26-year old has been the subject of a £4million bid from Newcastle this week, an offer dismissed by the Lille boss.
Garcia believes Debuchy's impact in Poland and Ukraine has shown why he demands a much larger fee than the one offered by the Magpies. He says the full-back is destined for a long international career.
"No [Debuchy's impressive performances haven't surprised me], as he plays with France as he does with us, he plays high and attacks but defensively is also very rigorous and he exudes confidence," Garcia said.
"Without insulting [Anthony] Reveillere and [Bacary] Sagna, he is trying to show he should always be right-back for France."
