Girard unfazed by critics
Montpellier coach Rene Girard says he will continue to ignore the critics as his side chase their first ever top-flight title.
La Paillade currently lead Le Championnat with three games of the season remaining but they have recently been criticised for their style of play with a number of pundits describing them as the 'ugly ducklings' of the title race. However, Girard says there is no way his side will change their tactics and he expects them to continue to compete until the end of the campaign. "It makes sense to see Paris and Lille at the forefront of the title race," he told France Football. "The ugly duckling is us but we will be there until the end, no matter what."
