Giroud piles pressure on PSG
Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud believes the pressure is all on PSG, after his side went five points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
Younes Belhanda struck the only goal of the game after just three minutes on Friday to give Rene Girard's men a precious 1-0 victory, that nudges them closer to the league title. The result means Carlo Ancelotti's PSG desperately need a result from their trip to Lille on Sunday evening, to keep themselves in the hunt for the title. France international Giroud believes the result proves Montpellier have the battling qualities required to go on and become champions. "To come to Toulouse and win is significant. We are five points clear again and that puts a bit of pressure on PSG," said the 25-year-old. "I don't know if we are the favourites, that is for the experts to say, but we have shown with our performances over the last few months that we are capable of competing for the title."
