Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis has pledged his future to the club and made it clear that he wants to win trophies at Stade Gerland.

The 26-year-old still has two years remaining on his five-year deal after making the switch from Saint-Etienne back in 2009, but he had been linked with a move to Russian side Rubin Kazan.
However, the France international is clearly going nowhere as he wants to stay and fight for his club in all competitions next season.
"I have always protested loudly about wanting to stay in Lyon, I am for this club," he told reporters. "I want to take part in the project. The coach is counting on me so I intend to defend my colours. I want to make a good preparation and keep myself ready for the Trophee des Champions."
Remi Garde's side will continue their pre-season preparations by travelling to the USA next week, with Ligue 1 champions Montpellier set to face them on July 28 at New Jersey's Red Bull Arena.
