List of Belhanda suitors grows
The list of clubs keen on Montpellier's Younes Belhanda has apparently grown, with Liverpool reportedly also interested.
The highly-rated 22-year-old has already turned the heads of fellow Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League giants Arsenal, but now Liverpool coach Kenny Dalglish is also understood to be keen on a summer swoop. Belhanda, who operates as a midfielder, is one of the most exciting talents in France currently, to the extent that the French FA were heavily criticised two years ago when the player opted to represent his native Morocco ahead of his adopted European home. He has scored 11 goals in 27 matches this season and sealed a crucial win for Montpellier in their match against Toulouse last Tuesday with a third- minute strike. "He's an outstanding talent and a very important player for us. Undoubtedly he's played a great role in our success this season," said Montpellier boss Rene Girard following last week's win. Belhanda made his Montpellier debut in 2009 and has since gone on to make 77 appearances for the club.
