Lyon reject Lloris rumours

Lyon have rejected claims that captain Hugo Lloris is on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool.

Despite his country's disappointing showing at Euro 2012, Lloris once again starred for Les Bleus in Poland and Ukraine, leading to speculation he could leave the Stade de Gerland. Les Gones are currently going through some financial difficulties after once again failing to win the French title and a number of their top players are thought to be on their way out of the club. However, president Jean-Michel Aulas insists the keeper won't be one, regardless of any interest from Liverpool. "We've had no contact with Liverpool," he told L'Equipe. "However, I can confirm there will be no transfer for Lloris".
