Montpellier's Mapou Yanga Mbiwa and Olivier Giroud are included in Laurent Blanc's provisional 26-player squad for Euro 2012.
Mbiwa, a France Under-21 international, has never played for the senior squad and will join Giroud, who has earned three caps since his debut in November 2011 and scored his first goal for his country in a 2-1 friendly win over Germany, in the initial party.
Mbiwa, 23, is also given the nod ahead of Tottenham's Younes Kaboul, who has been ruled out of France's trip to Poland and Ukraine with a knee injury.
The pair are rewarded after impressive seasons with Montpellier, who need just one point in Sunday's final-day trip to Auxerre to be crowned Ligue 1 champions.
Rene Girard's side are currently three points ahead of second-placed Carlo Ancelotti's Paris Saint-Germain, who share the same goal difference as the league leaders and travel to Lorient for their final game of the season.
