M'Vila in fitness battle
France midfielder Yann M'Vila could miss Euro 2012 after picking up an ankle injury in the friendly victory over Serbia on Thursday.
The Rennes star, who has been linked with a £22million move to Arsenal, limped off less than five minutes into France's 2-0 win in Reims and was shown in tears on the substitutes' bench. "I cracked up. A lot of things went through my mind. When I was 13, I experienced the same thing and I was in plaster for two months," said M'Vila. "I thought of that straight away, that the Euro was over for me. We will let things run their course, and hopefully I'll be ready." M'Vila has been a regular in France's midfield since Laurent Blanc took charge of the national team in 2010. "We can think that he will be fit for the first game. His participation in the tournament is not in question," said Blanc.
