Poulsen makes Monaco move
Denmark international midfielder Jakob Poulsen has joined Ligue 2 outfit Monaco for a fee in the region of £900,000.
Poulsen is delighted with the switch and hopes to help Monaco secure promotion back to the French top flight. "It's a big step in my career. I am joining a big club, even though Monaco are in Ligue 2 at the moment," Poulsen told the club's official website. "A few years ago they were one of the best clubs in Europe and I know their ambition is to get back to that level. It will take time, but it is a big challenge." The 28-year-old becomes Monaco's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of defender Andrea Raggi from Bologna.
