Paris Saint-Germain have had an audacious £40million bid for Manchester City's enigmatic Mario Balotelli turned down.
PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old Italy international but it is rumoured that his opposite number at City, Roberto Mancini, has told the board to forget about selling Balotelli and try to get rid of striker Emmanuel Adebayor. "Mario did a fantastic European Championship. He's 21, it is clear that he can improve," Mancini said. "This summer we had a lot of requests for him." The Italian forward remains one of Ancelotti's main transfer targets despite already having secure the services of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi during the summer transfer season. Balotelli netted 13 times in the league for the Premier League champions last season.
