Tottenham have reportedly been told that they will need to up their bid for Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to around £15million.
New Spurs boss Andre Villas Boas is keen on the 25-year-old custodian and reports claim that the north Londoners have already tabled a £13m bid for the France international shot-stopper. Loris still has three years to run on his current deal with Lyon and Spurs will need to dig deep to get their man, but the expected sale of Luke Modric should free up funds to ensure the deal goes through. Villas-Boas is looking to stamp his authority on the club after succeeding Harry Redknapp in the hot seat and the capture of the talented keeper would be step in the right direction, with Brad Friedel the wrong side of 40.
