Valbuena disappointed with 'hard' season
Marseille winger Mathieu Valbuena has admitted that he has been hurt by the club's disappointing recent run of form.
Didier Deschamps' men are currently on a run of 12 league games without a win - a streak that has seen them tumble to 10th in the Ligue 1 table. Despite winning the Coupe de la Ligue earlier this month, Valbuena admits that morale within the camp is low but says that he and his fellow players are desperate to end their season on a high. "Of course it is hard to live in this kind of situation, it is the first year like this since I have been here in Marseille," Valbuena said. "Obviously we see it in the league table. We just keep losing so we really would like to end this bad run which has followed us for a while."
